I may just break my goal time

2 miles for me today. And again it was hot and nasty outside, I ran at about 3:00pm. I was very surprised at my pace to start, it was about 10:10 or so and the first .5 miles were uphill. I had to walk at 1.25 miles because my throat was so dry, but i only walked for .15 of a mile. I am a bit frustrated at still walking every now and then. Sunday's run calls for 3 miles straight. I will do it without walking.

I have a 2 mile road race coming up in about 3 weeks and I wanted to complete it in less than 22:00. Today, with walking, my time was 22:23, so in 3 more weeks, I think I will more than beat my goal! Maybe even break 20:00!!!

Run & Food
2 miles, 22:23minutes
Breakfast: bagel w/ pb, orange juice
Snack: 94% fat free kettle korn popcorn
Lunch: Meal replacement bar
Snack: green apple w/ pb
Dinner: vegetarian lasagna
Snack: 94% fat free popcorn, 2 snack wells cookies

-I stayed within all of my ranges for fat, calories, protein, and carbs!

I don't envy you having to run in the heat and humidity, especially in March! Good luck on your upcoming races. Don't worry about the walk/run thing... this too shall pass!

Your blog had a "ring of familiarity" I try too...I may not be as disciplined as you appear to be...........Maybe we can help each other...I almost feel ashamed to say I eat very much more than you do.......
