I was so happy to get out and running today. That is until I was out there actually running. No fun at all, nope, not at all. My race is in 6 days and I should be running at least 30 minutes straight by now. But due to stress and sickness, I am a bit behind.
I ran for 28:51 minutes and had to walk for 5 of those minutes (it was split in the run as 3 and 2 minutes walks). It was HARD! My pace was also about 2 minutes slower. I was only at about 70-75% today. At least I was able to get out there again.
I have two more scheduled runs before my race, I am hoping that those will much easier. I would love to run the 5k in 33minutes but will be happy as long as it is less than 35!
2.34 miles
Meals and Nutrition for Today:
-Breakfast: corn muffin (with butter), orange juice
-Snack: green apple with peanut butter, pickle
-Dinner: seasoned chicken, green beans, couscous
-Dessert: shortcake with fresh strawberries
I am working on getting more meals in and eating a bit better, but today was a start.

you'll do great in your run. Don't worry about walk breaks. NASCAR drivers take pit stops, so why shouldn't we runners? We need to refuel and a walk break will allow you to finish your race stronger and faster.
I've seen you on RW's forums. I'll check back from time to time.
Good luck,

I believe you're running much faster than I am. Keep it up! Build your momentum and before you know it you'll be running more than 30 mins. nonstop.
Great effort! It may not have been your best run, but at least you gave it a good try! You can be proud of yourself for that!
Good luck in your 5k!!!
Happy running!
Ahhh, don't be too hard on yourself. You'll be fine. We all have those days when the run just doesn't seem to go as planned.
Good luck on your race!
You are doing great :)
